County Executive George Latimer Considers Capital Project to Upgrade and Preserve Tibbetts Brook Park.
(White Plains, NY) — Westchester County Executive George Latimer is reviewing a proposal submitted by County Legislator Jose Alvarado to include a $6.8 million rehabilitation project for Tibbetts Brook Park's pool and adjacent facilities in the County's FY 2025 Capital Budget. The proposed upgrades will restore the pool's infrastructure and improve the overall experience for Yonkers residents who frequent the park.
Alvarado said: "Tibbetts Brook Park is an iconic part of Yonkers and holds special significance for the surrounding community. The proposed upgrades will help keep the pool and surrounding facilities in top shape, ensuring families can enjoy this beautiful park safely and comfortably. The 2025 Westchester County budget is expected to be finalized and released later this month.
