 CITY OF YONKERS FIRE DEPARTMENT TO VISIT YONKERS SCHOOL TO DEMONSTRATE SMOKE TRAILER DURING NATIONAL FIRE PREVENTION MONTH.

 

 

Mayor Mike Spano, Yonkers Fire Commissioner William Fitzpatrick, and members of the Yonkers Fire Department will demonstrate the Department’s smoke trailer to students at Las Hermanas Mirabal Community School on 195 McLean Avenue on Wednesday, October 9 at 9 AM.

 

The smoke trailer is an educational resource designed to replicate familial living spaces such as kitchens, bedrooms and living rooms. The interactive presentation will include a simulation of smoke and fire conditions.

 

October is National Fire Prevention Month. This year’s theme is Smoke Alarms: Make them WORK for you.
