Yonkers Insider Editorial: Republican Mario De Giorgio is providing the Voters a choice in Yonkers Mayor Race and that is a good thing.

We feel it is great that Republican Mario De Giorgio is providing the voters a choice in this year's Yonkers Mayor's Race and it is a good thing, We feel that all elected officials should have challengers in races and that we have an active and open political process and we also feel that there should be a Two Party System, that is how our Political System works best in our view.

We report the news and all that goes on in the campaign. We don't call balls and strikes, We support the Yonkers Voter and want to inform Yonkers Voters on all issues regarding candidates and it is up to the Yonkers Voter to make their decision, when they go to the polls on Election Day, November 5th.

This Editorial is the sole view and opinion of Yonkers Insider.

PLATFORM “Let’s make Yonkers better than ever

1.      No one should run unopposed we must Maintain a 2-party system with voter I D enforcement. We need to clean up our voter registration books they are out dated.
2.      I believe in term limits, Locally, State wide and Nationally. And it must be voted on by the people.
3.      Safety of our schools to protect our children, crossing guards at every school and create more jobs.
4.      Rebuild our schools (some buildings are falling apart many with no or failing heat and or air-conditioning) and unsafe conditions
5.      Education is one of my top priorities every child deserves an opportunity to be provided the best possible education including music and art and after school programs.
6.       On economic development we need to bring more business into our city and fill the endless      vacancies of stores and empty lots.
7.      We need to fast track new developments, creating more jobs and developing more BIDS
8.      We need to address a growing problem our roads are in despair , our traffic problems are growing there are areas through out our city that need immediate attention we need to develop a traffic control officer department and place traffic officers at many intersections in our city and put into effect DON’T BLOCK THE BOX at many busy intersections from 7am -9:30am and then again from 2:30 pm through 7:00:pm here again creating more jobs and revenue while keeping our roads and traffic moving.
9.      We must spread our development throughout city not just rebuilding of the Westside but the forgotten Eastside of Yonkers as well
10.  Drugs are a major problem in every neighborhood in our city
11.   I will work bipartisan with all parties
12.  We need to fix a huge problem and that’s undocumented day laborers. We need to create a work hall and help them seek employment at a work /job hall, and get paid fair wages
13.  I am a Pro life Candidate
14.  I am a strong advocate for animal rites
15.   We need to lobby Albany for our fair share of funding for our schools and our Tax payers
16.  As mayor I will have Fiscal responsibility to everyone in our city
17.  We have too much duplication in certain jobs That will all change when I become your Mayor
18.   I believe in complete transparency government and I will be held accountable to you.
19.  Yonkers is a beautiful place to live and raise our families lets have a positive brand for our city l with LARGE signage at all our neighboring boarders
20.   “WELCOME TO YONKERS A GREAT PLACE TO LIVE WORK AND VISIT”
21.  Finally, I will do everything in my power, work tirelessly to get Yonkers its fair share of revenues, whether it’s from our state government our federal government or local developers in order to keep our taxes down and not increase your taxes, we pay enough as fellow Yonkers citizens
22.  These are NEITHER Republican, or Democrat concerns its everyone concerns
23.  So please remember this! on Tuesday November 5th and go and vote for Mario De Giorgio

We will keep our readers posted on the race for Yonkers Mayor, between Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano and his challenger, Republican Mario De Giorgio. We will continue to give our readers the most in depth coverage of the 2019 Elections in all races in Yonkers and Westchester County.
