Today, I was proud to vote to pass the Lead Pipe Right to Know Act (A.6115). Lead is a dangerous toxin that can hurt people of all ages, especially children. Its presence in aging water systems poses widespread public health hazard that I am committed to helping address. This legislation will empower and enable public water systems to take an inventory of lead service lines in communities, This bill is essential to ensuring that lead-contaminated water does not flow out of the taps at homes. Together, my colleagues and I are working to protect the health and safety of all New Yorkers.
