12/4/22 Yonkers, NY - Members of the Yonkers Police Department responded to the area of Point Street at Ravine Avenue at approximately 3:14 PM on a report of an occupied vehicle wanted in connection with a New York City armed robbery (carjacking). Upon arrival three suspects attempted to flee resulting in a motor vehicle accident, and were then apprehended by Yonkers Police after a brief foot pursuit; a Yonkers Police officer was struck by the suspect vehicle in the process and is receiving medical attention for non-life-threatening injuries. The suspects are in custody at the Detective Division pending further investigation and criminal charges.
At approximately 3:38 PM, members of the Yonkers Police Department responded to a residence on Ridge Road on a report of shots fired from a shotgun; upon arrival police secured the area and searched the target residence ensuring no threat to public safety. Upon further investigation it was determined that no shots were fired, and this incident was a neighbor dispute where a shotgun may have been displayed. Police are continuing to investigate.
