Great to be joined by US Senate Majority Leader Senator Chuck Schumer in Yonkers today to announce $500,000 in funding obtained by our federal delegation to renovate existing units of affordable housing by Westhab. This grant will go towards providing much needed repairs for units managed by Westhab. Across all levels of government, I am working collaboratively with community leaders and stakeholders to address the general affordability crisis in Yonkers and Westchester County on all fronts. In the recently enacted New York State Budget, I fought alongside my colleagues to set aside funding to achieve this goal. It’s important that we ensure our working families can continue to live, grow, and thrive in our communities.
