At the State Capitol I met with Lindsey Cox of the Hemophilia Federation of America, at the Capitol to support the New York State Bleeding Disorders Coalition. The coalition is backing legislation to direct Health Insurers to stop requiring pre-authorization for blood disorder treatments already covered by their plans. It is a needless hurdle that can often delay needed treatment. By the way, she is the granddaughter of Walter Tice who served as President of the Yonkers Federation of Teachers for a number of years.
