Exciting news in Yonkers as a groundbreaking was held for the first new public school building to be constructed in 20 years. Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano, the Yonkers Board of Education, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Edwin M. Quezada, my fellow State legislators representing Yonkers along with local and state officials broke ground on the new Justice Sonia Sotomayor Community School.
