I was pleased to join hundreds of volunteers at the Afya Foundation in Yonkers, where our friends and neighbors helped sort and pack nearly 25,000 pounds of medical supplies to be sent to Ukraine.
Even in this difficult time, our community has come together and stepped up to help people across the world in their time of need. It’s just one of the things that makes Yonkers so special. I thank the Afya Foundation for their incredible philanthropic and humanitarian work, and will work to ensure they continue to have the resources they need from us to perform this vital mission from New York State.
