Yonkers Insider: City of Yonkers: Black History Month Event.


The Yonkers Commission on Human Rights held a Black History Month event at the Hook and Reel, celebrating Damon K. Jones, author and publisher of Black Westchester Magazine, and honoring Sidney Poitier, the first African American to win an Academy Award as Best Actor. He died on January 6 at age 94.
