Dear Friend, Hanukkah commemorates the Jewish people's triumph over religious persecution and the miracle of light over darkness, recognized by the lighting of the Menorah.   As families across Yonkers observe and celebrate Hanukkah's traditions, let us also reflect upon the spirit of hope and the significance of religious freedom that are synonymous with this holiday.
