Yonkers Insider: Statement from Yonkers Public Library.

 


Thank you Mayor Spano and the Yonkers City Council!


On Friday, May 28, the Yonkers City Council unanimously approved the Mayor's Executive Budget for Fiscal Year 22. This was a great budget for Yonkers Public Library (YPL), which allows us to continue restoring hours (including Sundays later this year) and adding new services. As Yonkers emerges from the COVID-19 pandemic this budget will enable the library to play an important role in the city's recovery by offering everything from job readiness training to mental health and wellness workshops.
