As we head to the 16th County Legislative District, Covering Yonkers. Majority Whip Christopher Johnson will face a Democratic Party Primary from Community Leader Dwanita Crosby.
County Legislator Johnson was elected to the Westchester County Legislature Representing the 16th District in 2017. Johnson also has been a Deputy Chief of Staff for New York State Senator Andrea Stewart Cousins, Representing the 35th District and Johnson also was a Yonkers City Councilman, representing the First Yonkers City Council, when he got elected in 2011 and served until he ran for the Westchester County Legislature in 2017, Currently County Legislator Johnson serves as the Majority Whip in the Westchester County Legislature, Representing the 16th County Legislative District.
County Legislator Johnson's Democratic Party Primary Challenger, Community Leader, Dwanita Crosby: It has always been important to her to give back to her community and that was instilled in her at an early age. Dwanita has worked behind the scenes in Government for Years and now she thinks it is time for her to have a seat at the table and to advocate for the people of her Community, City and County.
Dwanita is a single mother of Her one child Her Son, She has 15 Years of experience of working in Government and 20 Plus Years of working with Non Profit Organizations. Under Her Leadership in the Community She has been able to form Community Partnerships in the City of Yonkers and County of Westchester through Relationships that she has built for many years of her service to the Community of Yonkers and Westchester County.
She is continuing her Education her Doctoral Degree in Public Management and Leadership. She also has a Masters of Philosophy, Masters Dual Degree in Human Resource Management/Management and Operations and Bachelors of Science in Psychology.
