MAYOR MIKE SPANO AND AFRICAN AMERICAN ADVISORY BOARD PRESENT FAMILY AND FRIENDS DAY “EDUCATING AND EMPOWERING OUR COMMUNITY THROUGH ACTIVATION,” SUNDAY, AUGUST 4 AT TREVOR PARK.
Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano, along with his African American Advisory Board present its 2ND Annual Family & Friends Day, Sunday, August 4 from 2pm – 6pm at Trevor Park. The fun-filled afternoon will feature family friendly activities, community vendors, food, entertainment and free giveaways. The event’s mission is to promote the importance of unity in the community and bring health and education programs to the residents of Yonkers.
The Mayor’s African American Advisory Board was established by the City of Yonkers in January 2014. The Board advises the Mayor on issues that affect the quality of life for African Americans in the City of Yonkers with a focus on Education, Employment, Safety and Housing.
