Dear Neighbor,
This week, we celebrated the production of Kawasaki’s 5,000th railcar in the U.S.—built right here in Yonkers! Kawasaki has been a key part of our community, creating jobs and driving innovation. This is a win not just for Kawasaki but for all of Yonkers as we continue to grow our local economy.
We also reopened Stefanik Park after some exciting renovations. The park now features a new basketball court, updated landscaping, improved accessibility, and more. This marks our eighth park renovation of the year, with even more planned by the end of the year. It’s a great spot for everyone to enjoy, and I encourage you to stop by and check it out!
These highlights remind us of the great potential our city has. Together, we’ll keep making Yonkers an even better place to live, work, and play.
Have a great weekend, Yonkers!
Be well,
MIKE SPANO
Mayor
