This Fourth of July, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the significance of this day in our nation's history and to extend my warmest wishes to you and your families.
Independence Day is the time when we come together as Americans to celebrate the birth of our nation and the shared values of freedom and opportunity it was founded on.
It's a day to remember the price of liberty, as we honor the brave men and women who have defended these values throughout our history and to reaffirm our commitment to upholding them for future generations.
I am continually inspired by the resilience and spirit of our community - and I am committed to making the Hudson Valley the best place to live for all its citizens.
This Fourth of July, whether you're enjoying a local parade, hosting a barbecue, or watching fireworks, I hope you take a moment to reflect on what makes our nation great.
Wishing you a happy Independence Day filled with family and friends.
God Bless America,
Mike Lawler
