Yonkers Insider: New York State Assemblyman Nader Sayegh 90th District: Messiah Baptist Church 150 Years of Service.

The Messiah Baptist Church recently celebrated its historic landmarking status as well as 150 years of service to the community in Yonkers. As a State Assemblyman, I was proud to have helped make this a reality and thrilled to have been recognized as an honoree. The historic landmarking was celebrated with a special landmarking celebration that included the Reverend Al Sharpton. In addition, the landmarking celebration of May 28, 2024, was exactly 59 years to the day when Dr. Martin Luther King preached at the Messiah Baptist Church.
