The American Cancer Society invites you to join us for the annual Relay For Life event, a community-driven initiative dedicated to raising awareness and funds in the fight against cancer. This year’s event promises a day filled with activities, entertainment, and poignant ceremonies.
Event Details:
· Community Participation: 40 teams offering a variety of activities, games, entertainment, and food options.
· Special Guest Chefs: Members of the Yonkers Police Department and Yonkers Fire Department will be on hand, cooking meals for attendees.
· Dunk Tank Challenge: An opportunity to dunk Mayor Spano’s staff for a good cause.
· Children’s Activities: Inflatable slides and games to keep kids entertained.
· Live Music Performance: Enjoy a live performance by Ray Tabano’s Band at 7:00 PM.
· Survivor & Caregiver Reception: A special reception at 5:00 PM to honor cancer survivors and their caregivers.
· Opening Ceremony: Featuring a speech by a local cancer survivor at 6:00 PM.
· Luminaria Ceremony: At 9:00 PM, join us for the Luminaria Ceremony. Luminarias can be purchased online or at the event to honor or remember loved ones affected by cancer.
