On Wednesday, June 28, 2023, the Yonkers City Council held a Stated City Council meeting. All items on the agenda appear below, as well as the decisions taken by the City Council in regard to these items.

City Council Stated Meeting 1. Local Law- amending Section 15-141 of the Code of the City of Yonkers in relation to extending the City of Yonkers Mortgage Recording Tax. (Held)   2. Local Law- amending parts of Article IV of Chapter 15 of the Code of the City of Yonkers entitled “Sales and Use Tax” to conform to the 2023 amendments of the New York State Tax Law. (Held)   3. Local Law amending sections of Chapter 15 of the Code of the City of Yonkers entitled “Taxes” in relation to the imposition of a City of Yonkers income tax surcharge to conform to the 2023 amendments of the New York State Tax Law. (Held) 4. Local Law authorizing the conveyance of city owned property and the adjoining undesignated parcel/paper street referred to as Cavalli Circle to Titan Real Estate Development LLC for the redevelopment of the property (Adopted 7-0) 5. Special Ordinance discontinuing Cavalli Circle as a public street pursuant to Section 29 of General City Law. (Adopted 7-0) 6. Special Ordinance – amending the budget for the City of Yonkers for the 2022/2023 fiscal year in relation to transferring funds from and to various accounts. (Adopted 7-0)   7. Special Ordinance- accepting Nutrition Services Title IIIC/NSIP in the amount of $250,741 and amending the City of Yonkers Grant Budget for Fiscal Year 2023. (Adopted 7-0) 8. Resolution approving amendments to the City of Yonkers Ashburton Avenue Urban Renewal Plan and Ashburton Avenue Master Plan of the City of Yonkers affecting the real property known as 50, 56, 36 St. Joseph Avenue, 1, 6, 7, 10 Cavalli Circle, and 55 Vineyard Avenue, which property is also designated on the tax map as Block 2081, Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4 and Block 2082, Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4, respectively (Adopted 7-0) 9.Settlement Resolution – $ 100,000.00 – KENDRA CONTRERAS vs. CITY OF YONKERS (Adopted 7-0) 10. Resolution – approving an Inter-Municipal Agreement by and between the City of Yonkers and the County of Westchester to accept Title III-B Grant Funding. (Adopted 7-0) 11. Resolution – approving an Agreement between the City of Yonkers and the Local 456, International Brotherhood of Teamsters (White Collar Unit) (Adopted 7-0) 12. Resolution – authorizing the Mayor or his designee to execute an Easement Agreement between CH SS Fund-Baran of New York Yonkers, LLC and the City of Yonkers granting a Stormwater Easement over Section 2, Block 2067, Lots, 50, 52, 53, 54, 56, 57, 58, 60, 61 in the City of Yonkers and to execute a Combined Real Estate Transfer Tax Return, Credit Line Mortgage Certificate, and Certification of Exemption from the payment of Estimated Personal Income Tax (TP-584) in connection with such Easement. (Adopted 7-0) 13. Resolution – approving one (1) Inter-Municipal Agreement by and between the City of Yonkers and the County of Westchester to accept Title III-C Grant Funding. (Adopted 7-0) 14. Resolution of the City Council of Yonkers to appoint Mary E.
