Judges Doran and Beltran sued Speranza challenging the validity of his Working Families, Conservative, and Democratic designating petitions. The case was settled on Tuesday morning before the Hon. Janet C. Malone in Westchester County Supreme Court. As part of the settlement, Speranza consented to be removed from all three party lines. Doran and Beltran agreed as part of the settlement to withdraw any allegation that Speranza engaged in improper methods in petition collection.
