Districtwide Black History Celebration

Historic Contributions, Triumphs, Successes and Progress

of the African American Experience.

 

An evening filled with music and dance celebrating the historic contributions, triumphs, successes and progress of the African Americans experience that inspire this generation of young people to lead and act featuring a keynote address by Yonkers City Council President Lakisha Collins-Bellamy. 

 

Yonkers Public Schools students, staff and members of the community through performances will celebrate the rich history and the enormous artistic, athletic, cultural and human rights contributions of African Americans. This districtwide celebration showcases the talents of Yonkers youth - America’s future leaders.
