YONKERS MAYOR MIKE SPANO HOSTS ANNUAL BLACK HISTORY MONTH CELEBRATION.


Announces Winners of Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Poem/Video Contest.

 

Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano will host the City’s annual Black History Month celebration Friday, February 24th at 6:00 PM in the Ceremonial Courtroom (4th floor) at Yonkers City Hall. This year’s theme for Black History Month is “Black Resistance” which takes a look at how African Americans have fought repression from America's earliest days.

 

The City’s celebration will include performances from local community members and remarks by the Yonkers Public School student winners of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Poem/Video contest.
