On November 19th, I held my 7th annual 3-on- 3 Basketball tournament, which was my first time hosting it at the beautiful Dayspring Community Center gymnasium. Every single participant got a free t-shirt and went home with a brand new basketball. And of course we had plenty of drinks, snacks and pizza while we were there. Winners went home with trophies and Amazon gift cards. Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible, including Westhab, Yonkers Fire Local 628, Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins, State Senator Shelley Mayer, Mayor Mike Spano, Councilman John Rubbo, Yonkers Federation of Teachers, Fidelis, and ShopRite. Thank you also to all the volunteers who showed up to help out, especially my friend Tom Meier Jr who came with his coaches to run the tournament! It was indeed a great day.
