As shoppers make their last-minute purchases, gift cards are a better choice than ever before. This is thanks to the bill I introduced that prohibits unnecessary fees that can grinch away their value and make them three sizes too small. Now, consumers can rest assured that gift cards and certificates won’t diminish in value as they wait for an opportune time to use them. This week, I was pleased to join my colleague State Senator Shelley Mayer and City of Yonkers Deputy Mayor Anthony Landi at a press conference in Yonkers informing shoppers about this new law, which is now in effect.
