As New York State anticipates yet another major storm, I’m pleased to announce that today, Governor Kathy Hochul signed two more of my bills into law requiring utility companies to prioritize service restoration for our most vulnerable residents and first responders. From billing to blackouts, we must continue to hold utility companies accountable in all facets. These common-sense reforms passed with strong bipartisan support in both houses. I thank my colleague, Senator Anna M. Kaplan, and Governor Hochul for their support in helping this critical legislation become law.
