Yonkers Police Dept to conduct promotion, appointment, and hiring ceremony.

Yonkers, NY – The Yonkers Police Department is pleased to announce that a scheduled Promotion, Appointment, and Hiring Ceremony will be held tomorrow when nine members will be recognized for being elevated to positions of higher authority and assignments within the Department; two prior-service members will also be appointed as Probationary Police Officers.

Mayor Mike Spano and Police Commissioner Christopher Sapienza will be present to swear in the honorees. Family & friends of those being recognized and members of the public are invited to attend. A news release will be issued after the ceremony with the names of those recognized.
