Yonkers Insider: Opinion Piece: Term Limits Extension in Yonkers: Yonkers Insider says No to Term Limits Extension in Yonkers.

I write this Opinion Piece on the Issue of the Term Limits Extension in Yonkers. I have stood quiet in this process on the Issue of Term Limits Extension and Only Am writing this Opinion Piece after it seems that Term Limits will happen and be changed from 3 terms to 4 terms now in terms of Yonkers Mayor, Yonkers City Council President and Yonkers City Councilmembers.

Let me be really clear that I am 1000 Percent against this Proposed Extension of Terms from 3 Terms to 4 Terms. Once again Why wasn't this put before the Voters of Yonkers? Whatever happened to the City of Yonkers Charter Revision Commission? All good questions that must be answered! In My View, this change in the Yonkers City Charter stifles Democracy in our View and it only Profits the Status Quo and only the Friends and Family Network as well. 

In the Past, the people of Yonkers in two referendum votes, made it clear that they want Term Limits in Our City. It does show in my view, the Absolute Disrespect for the Yonkers Voters in my view. 

The Yonkers City Council has some very important questions that must be answered  in this upcoming Vote and also the Mayor as well has to answer these questions as well. This Charter Change is very concerning to me in My Opinion. 

Some people have speculated that I stand with the Mayor and others in this Term Limits Extension and they were wrong, Because I stand 1000 percent against this Change. 

Yonkers Insider has always been an opinion based paper who stands with no politician or elected official. The only people that I am here to serve is the People of Yonkers. 

I am coming up to the 19th Year of doing News Reporting in the City of Yonkers. I am sure there will be some who disagree with this Opinion Piece and my Opinion.
