We wanted to share a reminder that our Youth Documentary Filmmaker Program starts today! There is still time to register!
Yonkers Arts and Sarah Lawrence College present the Youth Documentary Filmmaker Summer Program led by Yeong Ran Kim, the Mellon Digital Media Fellow at Sarah Lawrence College.
This week-long filmmaking workshop is for teens in Yonkers. We'll provide an active and creative learning experience where students learn to write, direct, shoot and edit their own short projects. Students will have an opportunity to complete a short film surrounding the activation of the DMX exhibition that's coming to Yonkers this fall.

About the Instructor
Yeong Ran Kim is the Mellon Digital Media Fellow at Sarah Lawrence College, working on community-oriented digital media projects. Kim holds a PhD from the Department of Theatre Arts and Performance Studies at Brown University. An interdisciplinary artist and researcher, Kim sees aesthetic practices as central means to build social movements that create unique moments of coming together. Kim is a visual/ sonic media composer and a member of 'The Urban Mythfits', a performance art collective based in New York City. Their work has been showcased at the Re/Mixed Media Festival, the Martin E. Segal Theatre Center at CUNY Graduate Center, and the Queens Museum.
