Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Some constituents have reached out to me about violence at Sprain Ridge and Tibbetts Pools. Public safety is my #1 priority, and I take it very seriously. I wasted no time in contacting the Westchester County Police and the Parks Department. After discussing it with them, they’ve agreed to increase police presence at the pools, limit the number of people allowed in, and deny re-admissions after exiting for the day. These new rule implementations will protect both Westchester residents enjoying the pool and Westchester County employees. I will continue to monitor the progress of the situation and have conversations with all departments to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone who visits our public pools!
