On Monday, March 28, 2022, I joined the Yonkers NAACP for their monthly meeting, at which Yonkers Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Edwin Quezada gave a presentation on YPS demographics and YPS mission to achieve equity in our schools. He also touched on the diversity of teachers within our schools, and stated that although there is room for improvement, Yonkers has beat the national average in almost every category. The Yonkers Public Schools presentation was followed by a Q&A session with the general NAACP membership.
