On Saturday, March 26, we had a great event at the Yonkers Riverfront Library, in coordination with Westchester Latinos Unidos and other community partners, such as Montefiore. We had several Latina children’s book authors come and read to program participants (almost 100 families showed up throughout the day). The Dominican Writers Association and the Word Up Community Bookstore set up tables with a wide array of books representing diverse cultures.
