The Assembly has passed my bill that requires the utilities to, after 24 hours of no power, prioritize getting any police, fire or ambulance service - without its own back up generator - restored or get them a generator. Public Safety must be a priority. I thank my colleagues, including Assembly Majority Leader Crystal D. Peoples-Stokes, and Long Island Assembly Member Michael Montesano for supporting this effort with their well spoken insights.
