Greek Independence Day is Annually celebrated on March 25th. It said that it honors the Greek Revolution of 1821 and the Feast of the Annunciation as well.
The Feast of Annunciation is said to be a Religious Holiday, Which celebrates the Archangel Gabriel appearing to Maiden Mary to inform her that She was Pregnant with the Divine Child. But the Major Celebrations center around the Independence of the Greek People, after being colonized by the Ottoman Empire for over 400 Years.
Happy Greek Independence Day!
