Thursday I rose to speak in support of an Assembly Resolution introduced by Assembly Member Jenifer Rajkumar to proclaim the day Bangladesh Independence Day in New York. Jenifer Rajkuman made history as the first South Asian-American woman ever to be elected to a state office in New York.
