Nader Sayegh Seeks Re-Election to the New York State Assembly.
Assemblyman Nader Sayegh will ask Yonkers voters to support his re-election to the New York State Assembly. Sayegh is serving his second 2 two year term representing Yonkers in the “People’s House.”
“I have delivered millions of additional dollars for Yonkers Public Schools which are receiving record amounts of State School Aid. I worked with Governor Kathy Hochul to increase state funding to combat crime and gun violence. I support major environmental legislation, including the “Restore Mother Nature” Environmental Bond Act of 2022,” said Assemblyman Sayegh. “Additionally, I am a fierce advocate for the equitable treatment of all New Yorkers, no matter where they or their ancestors were born.”
Assemblyman Sayegh's District Office has helped thousands of constituents with problems navigating State Services, and has expanded the scope of Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS) offered by partnering with the staff of Congressman Jamaal Bowman.
With one-third of its residents born outside the United States, Yonkers is one of the most diverse cities in America. Sayegh and his Assembly staff maintain close contact with Yonker’s African-American, Arab-American, Hispanic-American, Ukrainian American and Asian American communities, and he celebrates the contributions to our great country from all who call Yonkers home.
Sayegh served Yonkers Public Schools as a teacher, Principal and President of the Board of Education prior to his election to the Assembly in 2018.
Arriving with his family from Jordan at age 4, Sayegh credits his family, faith and the State’s Public Education System with his success and pledges to continue putting Yonkers First.
