This week, our city is making headlines across the country with the news of the opening of Lionsgate Studios Yonkers.

The opening of Lionsgate, a premier film production studio located along the banks of the Hudson River, has become the fruit of our labor over the last decade. Our efforts in revitalizing the waterfront coupled with our investment in the Yonkers Film office making our city film-friendly, has positioned Yonkers into Hollywood on the Hudson. There is no doubt Yonkers is paving the way for the film industry’s emerging foothold in Westchester.

Lionsgate's investment means a boost in local jobs, commerce and in the pride we have in our city.
