The best way to guarantee posterity for hard-working New Yorkers and their families is to rebuild our economy in smarter ways.
That means investing in infrastructure projects that look to a more sustainable future, with good paying, greener jobs.
It also means looking for creative ways to support small businesses in our communities and revitalize Main Street.
Health care, home care, child care—we have to be smarter about ensuring the best quality of life possible for our residents.
We certainly have made a good start by enacting the landmark Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act, passing $800 million in small business assistance and making record investments in public education that keep taxes low and lift students up.
But it’s time to multiply the momentum in Albany for decision-making that can surmount the challenges ahead. I plan on continuing to be part of this change.
