Dear Neighbors and Friends, As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, our thoughts naturally turn to family, friends, gratitude, and pecan pie. However, please bear in mind that COVID rates are rising: as of yesterday, there are 1900 active cases in the County. These statistics are not cause for panic, and almost 92% of the adult population of Westchester has received at least one vaccination shot. But it is wise to remain cautious as you venture out to visit, shop and celebrate. The Westchester County Department of Health is currently partnering with school districts to host vaccine clinics for students at their schools. Ongoing Satellite vaccination clinics include: White Plains Booster Clinic 134 Court Street Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson Boosters Wednesday from 9-1pm Open to eligible recipients, by appointment only The following clinics are cancelled this week for Thanksgiving, but will resume normal scheduling next week: White Plains Vaccination Clinic 134 Court St., White Plains Fridays from 10-1pm Walk-ins accepted; offers Pfizer White Plains Booster Clinic 134 Court Street Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson Boosters Thursday 9 am-1 pm Open to eligible recipients, by appointment only Yonkers Vaccination Clinic 20 S. Broadway, Yonkers Thursdays 4-7pm  Walk-ins accepted; offers Pfizer Moving forward, New York State’s COVID-19 Vaccination clinic has shifted its operations from the Westchester County Center to the Westchester County Medical Center. Vaccines for 12+ will be administered at the Taylor Pavilion on the Westchester Medical Center’s Campus on Mondays-Saturdays from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm and Sundays from 8:00 am. to 12:00 pm. Vaccines for 5-11 year olds will be administered at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital on Mondays-Fridays from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm and Saturdays from 8:00 am. to 4:00 pm. Appointments can be made online at Am-I-Eligible.COVID19Vaccine.Health.NY.gov Additionally, the County will sponsor a pediatric vaccination clinic this Saturday, November 27th, 10am – 3pm at the White Plains Clinic on 134 Court Street. To register for this clinic, please visit: health.westchestergov.com In addition to COVID-19 vaccines for children and adults, Westchester Medical Center is also offering drive-thru influenza vaccines every Wednesday from 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. by appointment only.
