On Thursday, September 23, I along with local, county and state colleagues welcomed our new Lt. Governor, Brian Benjamin and New York State Energy Research and Development Authority who came to Enrico Fermi School to announce a $95 million dollar program to upgrade school buildings all across New York State. The school buildings will receive money to improve energy efficiency and indoor air quality.
The Clean Green Schools Initiative is awesome news for our schools and it's another example how Yonkers is improving the educational environment, combating climate change and improving school building safety.
