CITY OF YONKERS TO UNVEIL NEW FITNESS STATION AT COYNE PARK.
Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano and the Yonkers Department of Parks, Recreation & Conservation will gather Thursday, August 19 at 10:00 am at Coyne Park (771 McLean Ave., Yonkers) to formally unveil new state-of-the-art fitness equipment located in the park.
The investment comes as a part of Mayor Spano’s continued commitment to providing equitable access and promoting health and fitness among those of all ages. The unveiling comes on the heels of Yonkers’ recent investment of $250,000 in new fitness equipment at Stefanik, Singlak-Keehan, O’Boyle and Barton Parks.
The exercise equipment at Coyne Park features a cross trainer, sportbike, and an arm bike which is also wheelchair accessible. The equipment available can be used by all ages and resistance can be modified on based on the user’s performance level.
