New York State Insider: Statewide Public Meeting with the Independent Redistricting Commission.

 

Dear all,

 

The New York State Independent Redistricting Commission will be holding a final, State-wide meeting this Sunday, August 15th at 3pm for all New Yorkers to submit comment before the first draft maps are drawn.  The meeting will be virtual and can be watched live on our website: www.nyirc.gov or on Facebook. Participants can register to speak or submit written comment on our website.

 

Written information regarding the meeting and a graphic is attached.

 

The IRC would so appreciate your help in getting the word out to your local newspapers, community groups, and of course, your residents and neighbors.

 

We invite you to follow along with the Commission on Twitter to stay up to date with future meetings and information. Additionally, recordings of our past public meetings can be viewed on our YouTube channel.

 

Public participation is of the utmost importance to the Commission, and we so appreciate your partnership in helping us get the word out to ensure New Yorkers have the chance to speak before the Commission.
