EPHEMERA OPENING RECEPTION AT WARD POUND RIDGE RESERVATION.
(Cross River, NY) – Photography and sculpture exhibit, Ephemera, at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation in Cross River, will have its Opening Reception Friday, July 16, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Refreshments will be served courtesy of “Art in the Park.”
The exhibit will be in the Main Gallery in the Benedict Farmhouse (Park Office) featuring photography and sculptures on sale by local artists Ilan Ashkenazi and Dawn Watson, curated with Kiesendahl+Calhoun Fine Art, Ltd. and will remain on display daily, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., through Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 6.
Westchester County Executive George Latimer said: “The resurgence of the “Art in the Park” program at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation is another step towards a life we once knew. Park-goers can now experience the natural beauty of the park and the artwork inspired by it.”
Westchester County Parks Commissioner Kathy O’Connor said: “The “Art in the Park” program at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation has always been an added layer to the Reservation’s appeal and bringing back the exhibits makes the park feel complete.”
Admission is free; parking is $5 with Park Pass, $10 without Park Pass, every day from Memorial Day through Labor Day; weekends only after Labor Day.
Art in the Park features various exhibits that always include a connection to nature. This is demonstrated through different vehicles of art like sculpture, photography, paintings and additional forms of artwork. The program is headquartered at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation.
Ward Pound Ridge Reservation is located at the junction of Routes 35 and 121 South in Cross River.
