We look at One of the Most Interesting Primary Races in Yonkers and Westchester County and that is the Democratic Party Primary for Westchester County Legislator in the 17th District, Between Current Westchester County Legislator Jose Alvarado, Former Westchester County Legislator Virginia Perez and Community Activist London Reyes.
County Legislator Alvarado has been active recently, when it got closer to Election Time, in our View that is too little too late and his working so hard in our view is being done to cover up for his show of incompetence as an Elected Official and the many other issues, that he has, which will be addressed in a Series done by Yonkers Insider on County Legislator Alvarado in last 2 Years or dare I say a Lack of a Record, it is truly Time for Change in Leadership, due to his Lack of Leadership as County Legislator in District 17, it's clearly time for County Legislator Alvarado to be shown the door by the Voters.
Former Westchester County Legislator Virginia Perez is returning to the Political Flay after not Seeking Re-Election 2 Years Ago. She has a tremendous record as an Elected Official as a Westchester County Legislator in Representing District 17 for 8 Years. Her Energy, Passion and Fire are what is needed in this Seat to best Represent Southwest Yonkers in District 17. We need and want Virginia Returned as the County Legislator in District 17. As far as we are Concerned, Virginia is the Gold Standard, by which all other Elected Officials should be judged in Our View, It's time for the Best Elected Official to be returned to the Seat that She served so Honorably for 8 Years for District 17 and Southwest Yonkers. In our View, We need Our Champion Back in the 17th County Legislative District Seat. I have Endorsed Virginia Perez in this Democratic Party Primary.
The Third Candidate in this Race is Democrat London Reyes, This will be his 3rd Run for this Seat for 17th District. The question remains what kind of Impact will Mr. Reyes Candidacy have on this 3 Way race? Many questions regarding his Candidacy in my View. What will his Campaign Message be in this 3 way Race? Those are all questions that will be answered once the Voting Begins.
Virginia Perez has defeated both of her Male Opponents in Past Races. Virginia Defeated Jose Alvarado in 2011 and Virginia Topped London Reyes in 2017. Also Two Years ago, Jose Alvarado Topped London Reyes in a 3 Way Race to get back on the Westchester County Board of Legislators.
