Today, we pay tribute to the amazing men and women in active military service who made the ultimate sacrifice for us. We are all living proof that their lives and service helped protect all of our safety and freedom.

I invite you all to take a moment to honor those who died while serving in the U.S. military. Among those many brave men and women were our very own Yonkers Veterans who died in the line of duty. May we never forget that freedom is not free.
