Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Today, we honor the dedication and legacy of those who have given their lives to serve our nation to make sure that we can enjoy the freedoms so many value.  

 

As we reflect on those who have given our lives in the fight for democracy, we must remember the impact on the families of each and every one of those individuals. These families are strong and integral to our communities and we must ensure that they receive the support they need. Finally, I call upon each and every one of you today to reflect on how we can turn our nation and our world into a more peaceful and safer place for all.
