YONKERS MAYOR MIKE SPANO TO UNVEIL CITY’S FIRST FULLY ELECTRIC VEHICLE AND NEWEST ADDITION TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT.

 

New Marked Police Vehicle, Tesla Model 3, to be Unveiled as the

City’s Latest Commitment to Sustainability.

 

Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano will join members of the Yonkers Police Department on Friday, April 30^th at 2 PM at Yonkers City Hall – Unity Fountain to unveil the city’s first fully-electric marked police vehicle which will be assigned to the Police Department’s Traffic Unit.

 

The electric vehicle is part of city’s ongoing efforts to expand the department’s sustainable vehicle options.  The Tesla joins the city’s growing green fleet, which already contains 33 hybrid vehicles, with nearly two dozen more on order.
