YONKERS ROUNDUP: Prayers for rapper DMX poured in on social media after news of the rapper’s reported overdose and heart attack made headlines PHOTO: Yonkers rap legend #DMX was rushed to a New York hospital Friday night after reportedly suffering a drug overdose which triggered a heart attack at the 50-year-old’s home around 11 p.m. EASTER PRAYERS: The 50-year-old rapper, who was born in #MountVernon and raised in #Yonkers, began trending on Twitter as fans flooded the site to honor him….. JOURNAL NEWS: DMX in #WhitePlains Hospital after apparent heart attack in Westchester home DMX continues to fight for his life in White Plains Hospital after suffering a heart attack in #WestchesterCounty. The rapper’s longtime New York-based lawyer, #MurrayRichman, said Saturday evening that DMX was on life support at the hospital. “We are concerned,” Richman told PIX 11 News. “It would be disingenuous to suggest that I’m not a worried man at this particular point.” The 50-year-old hip hop star was rushed to the hospital late Friday night. Earlier Saturday evening, Richman said DMX was taken off life support and breathing on his own but later backtracked on those comments, saying he was misinformed and misspoke.
