YONKERS LEGISLATOR JOSE ALVERADO: Yonkers Residents 30 Years Old And Older Are Eligible for COVID-19 Vaccine Beginning March 30th - And 16 Years And Older Are Eligible Starting April 6th Beginning Tuesday, March 30th at 8 a.m., all New Yorkers 30 years of age and older will be eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced Monday. Beginning April 6, all New Yorkers 16 years of age and older will be eligible to receive the vaccine. Vaccines are available at pharmacies, hospitals, local health departments and Federally Qualified Health Centers statewide, but you must make an appointment to receive a vaccine. Please contact your provider of choice to schedule your vaccine appointment. Appointments are not transferrable. You may also use the New York State “Am I Eligible” website — https://am-i-eligible.covid19vaccine.health.ny.gov/ — for scheduling an appointment at a New York State-run site only, or call 1-833-NYS-4-VAX (1-833-697-4829). Remember: The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines require two doses for effectiveness. For these vaccines, second-dose appointment will be scheduled automatically at the time you receive your first vaccine dose.
