A Salute to Women’s History Month & International Women’s Day

“The story of women’s struggle for equality belongs to no single feminist nor to any one organization but to the collective efforts of all who care about human rights.” ~ Gloria Steinem Thanks to the dedication of educators and activists, we have learned that the fight for women’s equality is so extensive that it cannot be limited to one day or one month. We must applaud the amazing work that has been done, and show our immense support for gender equality – for women of all races, ethnicities, religions, economic standing, sexual orientation and gender identity. This past year, 2020, we all witnessed the amazing power of Black women in Georgia, and before that, in Alabama in 2017. No challenge was too great to organize and to turn out voters.  These women carried on the tradition of many courageous leaders before them, like Fannie Lou Hamer, Mary Church Terrell, Frances E W Harper, Ida Bell Wells-Barnett.
