Carlos has Resided in the 4th Council District, since 9 Years old. Carlos is Committed to Our City of Hills. His Platforms are for High Quality Education and also Public Service is Very Important to him.
He is a Founding Staff Member of Guttman Community College, He created A Nationally Recognized Program - Peer Mentoring Program. In 2014, The "Carlos Iro Burgos Leadership Award" was made to honor his contributions to the College, which Speaks volumes as to the Individual that Carlos Burgos is.
Carlos is also a Yonkers Public Schools Alum and a Parent as well. Carlos serves on the Museum 25 PTA and is also a member of the Board of Directors for Global Writes, Inc, which is an Education Non Profit.
Issues that Matter to Carlos Burgos: Education: Carlos feels that We are Experiencing an Education Crisis that will Impact our Future our Kids. Education is a very important issue to Carlos. Some of Carlos Priorities are: Access to Technology for Parents with Multiple Children in the District. Education will be on top of Carlos Campaign and if Carlos gets Elected to the Yonkers City Council.
Transparency: After talking with Residents of Council District 4 to Discuss Transparency with Carlos. Residents Expressed concerns about Issues with Transparency. If Elected, Carlos plans by working with Fellow Council Members to help Strengthen recent actions by Yonkers City Council to improve Transparency, build greater trust and respond to Community Members Needs and Carlos, if Elected wants to work hand and hand with the Community.
Quality of Life: If Elected to the City Council, Carlos wants to work to address the Garbage Issues and our Quality of Life Issues in the 4th City Council District. His Goal is to create A Cleaner, Brighter Future for Yonkers.
